Cong, AAP in Okhla try to discredit each other by sharing waterlogged pics as Okhla suffers

Since the rain has started in the morning several photos have surfaced on the social media showing the ground reality of how the area was flooded.

The irony is that both the opposition Congress in Shaheen Bagh and AAP in Batla House are engaged in blame game with each one sharing photos of the locality ruled by others driving home the point that the situation is bad and very little development has taken place, according to Okhla watchers.

The waterlogged Jamia Nagar after rain shows that no political parties have done any good for the locality, said a resident adding that it is shameful to see the ground reality.

Another Okhla watcher said many among them know that those who are sharing photos are just trying to drive home the point that they will do something but the fact is that if they can spend lakhs on posters by defacing the walls why they can’t spend a small number of that amount on development of the locality.

With election next year, many leaders and Facebookya activists nursing political ambitions with little support on the ground and no contribution to the locality have gone hyper active to impress residents, said another Okhla watcher, requesting anonymity fearing that insinuation campaign might be launched against him in the virtual world.
