    Jamia observes two minute silence for Chhattisgarh martyrs

    JMI offers condolences to the bereaved family members of martyrs

    A condolence meeting was organised today at the premises of Chief Proctor’s Office, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) to pay homage to the security personnel martyred in the gunfight with Naxals along the border of Sukma and Bijapur Districts of Chhattisgarh on April 3, 2021.

    A two minute silence was observed for the martyrs.

    On the sad occasion JMI Vice Chancellor Prof Najma Akhtar said whole JMI fraternity  stands together in grief and offers its deepest condolence to the bereaved family members of martyrs.

    Addressing the gathering, the Chief Proctor, Prof. Waseem A. Khan said the attack on paramilitary forces is very unfortunate and an irrevocable loss to the nation.

    The condolence meeting was attended by Prof. Mehtab Alam, Dean, Students’ Welfare, Prof. Masood Alam, Advisor- Security, Prof. Iqtidar Mohd. Khan, NCC Coordinator and Nazim e Deeniyat, Prof. Mohd, Shahid Khan, Prof. Nikhat Manzoor, Dr. Mohd. Asad Malik, S. M. Mahmood, Deputy Proctors, Shah Abul Faiz, Assistant Proctor, officers and security personnel of the university.
