    My AFE flat burgled & jewellery, tablet, other items worth approximately Rs 4 lakh missing: Resident

    In another robbery incident reported in Jamia Nagar, an Abul Fazal Enclave resident said his house was burgled a few days ago when was away to his hometown for summer holiday.

    He said it was his brother who informed him after he was the main gate broken. After entering the house, Khalid, said he saw almirah open and clothes and other items missing. Following which he informed his brother and then filed a police complaint.

    He said the incident took place on June 5 at 11 pm when there was nobody at the house. The robbers took away all items, including gold jewellery, Rs 10,000 cash, tablet and other items costing approximately Rs 4 lakh, said Khalid.

    A probe team, including forensic team, landed at his house, he said.

    This is not the first case reported from Jamia Nagar.

    A few days ago, the OT had reported about a burglary incident in Shaheen Bagh in which the resident has claimed to have lost Rs 5 lakh worth jewellery including cash.

    In the police complaint, Shaheen Bagh resident Md Shoaib Fatimi said his wife, who was returning to house at 4.30 pm after dropping a relative at a hospital, got a call from her neighbour who informed her that the gate of the flat was open.
