Jamia Millia Islamia alumnus Tanveer Chaudhury’s mother loses battle with cancer. “My mother passed away just now at hometown Siyana, Bulandshahar, after long struggle from cancer. She was 87 years old,” said Tanveer, who is a well known martial art trainer and resides in Okhla. Tadfeen to take place in hometown after today’s asar prayer, said the deceased grandson Pasha Chaudhury. He said it was more than six months ago that his grandmother, Zubaida Khatoon, was diagnosed with throat cancer. Khatoon’s late husband, Chaudhury Hamidullah Khan, was a Jamia alumnus. Khatoon has left behind seven children.
