    Atif Rasheed seeks relief for kin of Jaitpur wall collapse victims

    Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha met with the relatives of the deceased and injured children following the collapse of a wall of illegally constructed building in the Jaitpur Khadda Colony today. The incident took place five days ago.

    Atif Rasheed, sought action against the responsible police officers and municipal officials. On November 24, a meeting was held with senior police official regarding the incident where two innocent children lost their lives and a girl was permanently disabled during construction work in the basement of a building in Jaitpur Khadda Colony, said a release issued by the body.

    The delegation, led by former Vice-Chairman of the National Minority Commission, Rasheed, and Anis Abbasi, the president of the BJP Minority Morcha in Delhi, urged for immediate suspension of responsible police officers and the filing of cases against municipal officials. They also called for the immediate arrest of all individuals associated with the building under Section 304 and 120 B of the IPC.

    The delegation demanded that the Delhi government provide Rs one crore in compensation to the parents of each deceased child and Rs 50 lakh to the parents of the injured girl.

    The representatives conducted an inspection of the building in Jaitpur Khadda Colony where the incident occurred. They met with the parents and family members of the deceased children, offering them support and encouragement.

    BJP Delhi Pradesh president, Veerendra Sachdeva, conveyed the party’s solidarity with the affected families and declared that the BJP will continue to fight for justice until the families receive compensation and justice from the Delhi government.

    The Minority Minister of Delhi Pradesh, Faisal Mansoori, the Publicity Minister, Shahnavaz, former Mandal President, Lawyer Quraishi, Jameel Khan, and Saim Khan were also present in this delegation.
