Major relief for ex-Okhla MLA Asif
Die-hard fans of former Congress MLA Asif Md Khan heaved a sigh relief after he got a major respite from court in a 2008 case. Khan told the OT over phone that the case goes back to 2008 when a case was slapped on him over clash with another Okhla leader in Jamia Nagar Police Station.
Then Khan was MLA of Okhla but he was not with the Congress.
He said the case was rejected in first hearing held on Saturday in Rouse Avenue District Court.
When asked what about other cases, he said ten more cases are going on against him. “I am hopeful that my name will be cleared,” he said.
