    Education enables us to contribute to society’s betterment: Anees

    In a reception organised in his honour at Mahdi villa in Nehtaur, Dist. Bijnor, U.P, Professor Anees Ansari expressed the view that the right education helps one rise above the narrow identities pertaining to caste, sub-caste, religion, and region etc., and work for the entire society’s betterment and advancement.

    He appreciated the contribution of health volunteers in running the ‘Diabetese and Blood Pressure Screening and Counselling Centre’ and told them that their voluntary contribution is the real application of the education received by them in their classes.

    He congratulated all those associated with the centre for doing great service through the centre and assured of his continued support. Professor Ansari obtained his Ph.D. (Chemistry) from Jamia Millia Islamia, and is presently professor teaching in King Abdullah Institute for Nano Technology of King Saud University, Riyadh, K.S.A.

    Ghizal Mahdi thanked Prof. Anees Ansari for his visit to the Centre that has been providing uninterrupted free service for 44 weeks, thereby benefiting over 1000 people. Also, around 40 health volunteers have been associated with the centre, and a training workshop is to be organised for these health volunteers on September 3, 2023.

    This Center was established by Health and Education Promotion Trust, HEPT which was formed by five Jamiaites – Professor Zubair Meenai, Shyam Sunder Aggarwal, Ghizal Mahdi, Mahindra Manral and Hasan Abdullah.
