Okhla-based youth Atishan Ali has made Jamia School proud by cracking NEET-UG exam with All India ranking 261 and scoring 700 out of 720.

Dr Zafar Ahmed Siddiqi principal of Syed Abid Husain told the OT that it is a proud moment for the school.

“This Jamia student scored 700 and he is 2nd topper of Jamia Board exam 2023. He is a student of Syed Abid Husain,” said a school PGT teacher Aisha Zaheer.

Atishan’s father Md Asghar Ali, a Hafiz-e-Quran who is currently a mechanical engineer and studied at AMU, told the OT from his house in Batla House that what he couldn’t achieve (becoming a doctor) in his youth has been accomplished by his son.

Atishan being the elder in the house, he studied at Jamia School and was good at his studies, said his father.

“I always dreamt of becoming a doctor but know my son has become and it is a happy moment in the family of four. The good thing is that all his coaching was done on scholarship as he had cracked Akash all India test. After which he concentrated on his studies,” he said.

After the results were announced very recently, there was jubilation in the family.

While talking to the OT Atishan said since his childhood he had wanted to become a heart surgeon. Sharing a few tips how to crack the NEET-UG, he said one should stay away from social media and focus on studies as there is no short cut to success.

Atishan’s father and mother are from Bihar and have been residing in Okhla for the last sixteen years.

Atishan’s father Asghar said after completing Hafiz-e-Quran he did his 10th from Bihar and then completed his higher studies from AMU and then landed in Delhi to work as a mechanical engineer with a well-known private firm.
